Floor of the Month
Here at Williams Marsden Hall, we like to praise our students for their efforts within academia and the halls themselves.
This month's highlighted floor deserves the recognition for their community spirit, study sessions, and the lowest number of fire alarm incidents this month.
Celebrating the residents of Cashel 2
Ethan Reid
Bachelor of Sport, Health and Physical Education (BSHPEd)
Meet Ethan, the quiet anchor of the hall. Recovering from an injury that challenged his very identity, Ethan embodies a powerful mix of control and resilience.
He's the one quietly holding everything together, his determination a steady force.
There’s more to his calm exterior than meets the eye, and his journey reveals a deep capacity for strength and adaptation.
Maia Rangi
Bachelor of Law (LLB)
Maia is the steady hand in the hall’s energetic chaos.
Organised, practical, and fiercely caring, she’s the person everyone relies on when things need to get done.
Her stability and thoughtful nature bring a quiet strength, making her the unspoken pillar of their shared living space.
She’s the one who ensures things function, always looking out for others.
Benji Collier
Bachelor of Sport, Health and Physical Education (BSHPEd)
Benji moves through the hall with an effortless charm, a keen observer who reads people with ease.
Socially fluent and genuinely confident, he’s the one who can bridge any gap, making connections seem simple.
Beneath his laid-back exterior lies a sharp emotional awareness, making him a true friend and confidant who understands the subtle currents of their shared world.
Finn Marshall
Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc)
Quiet and observant, Finn keeps things steady when everything else is chaos.
Studying veterinary science, he steps in when something needs fixing — people, animals, or problems no one else has noticed yet.
A traumatic past has hardened his exterior, giving him a stern, controlled edge that only cracks under pressure, and fuelling his constant tension with Noah — a rivalry that pushes them both harder than they’d ever admit.
At Bill Mars Hall, Finn is the calm presence you rely on, even when he’s the one carrying the most.
Noah Patel
Bachelor of Music (BMus)
Noah is confident, sharp, and always moving forward. Studying music, he buries himself in practice to outrun the regrets he carries — especially the ones tied to his father.
He doesn’t understand Finn’s cold edge toward him, but he won’t back down from it.
Noah also keeps part of himself hidden, downplaying his Pakistani side to avoid his past, even as it quietly shapes him.
At Bill Mars Hall, he’s the spark that keeps everything moving — sometimes pushing things forward, sometimes setting them alight.
Chloe Wright
Communications (BA)
Chloe sees the world through a lens — always observing, always reading the room.
Studying media and communications, she understands how people present themselves and what they’re trying to hide behind it.
Warm, perceptive, and quietly strong, she often becomes the bridge when tensions rise, stepping in with calm clarity when it matters most.
At Bill Mars Hall, Chloe brings balance and heart — the steady presence that keeps people connected.
More than just flatmates: their stories intertwine
Beyond these initial glimpses, the students of The Halls are connected in rich and unexpected ways.
You'll find Finn's guarded intensity, Noah's vibrant unpredictability, Chloe's sharp wit, and Dink's chaotic charm all weaving into the vibrant tapestry of hall life. Some arrive with shared histories, while others form unexpected bonds. You'll discover subtle habits, reactions that feel stronger than they should, and choices that echo past experiences, all hinting at deeper stories. Their lives are gradually weaving together, with each new detail adding another layer to their evolving friendships and clashes. It’s like stepping into a shared living space where everyone has history, habits, and inside jokes, inviting you to delve deeper into a world where everyone is figuring out who they’re becoming.
